    Any PCG people out there?

I'm curious to hear what people think of the PCG forums these days. I get the impression they're becoming less professional and informative, but since I'm just a grumpy old git I thought I'd better ask for second opinions!

I'm also a bit worried that PCG members come here for advice, which makes me think that they don't want to use the PCG boards for some reason.

I dont know I have never been able to get in... all I get is an apache server error both at home and at work
Science isn't about why, it's about why not. You ask: why is so much of our science dangerous? I say: why not marry safe science if you love it so much. In fact, why not invent a special safety door that won't hit you in the butt on the way out, because you are fired. - Cave Johnson

Hmmm... Email the admin people and tell them. I think the threads software can have a bit of a fight with some browsers. At work it may be a cookie issue, of course, if they're blocked by the client's firewalls.

I was in the PCG, but then one day I realised that IR35 had actually been a good thing in encouraging me to shop around for where to put my tax $.

I read them but rarely post (as there are more qualified people). Tend not to bother with Press, General and the Lounge though.

I know the abuse on here yesterday was purile but the lounge is like that daily.

I'm in the PCG but I must confess to not really using their forums much - yet. It's a good point though - many of the questions I'd expect to be asked there are already covered here... hmm...

I always found them the opposite. Very pompous and overbearing.

I've left the PCG anyway, it does nothing for me.

I only look at the commercial forums and so far I have grossed a few grand in small jobs through there.

                  Older and ...well, just older!!

Pedant - that's just me using my terminology. They can be blocked by company security policies, and I regard a firewall as a security measure, not just tin and wires.
