Default Tories to get rid of IR35

Companies should benefit from a simplified regime of submitting tax records and accounts to the authorities. The controversial "IR 35" laws affecting contractors should go. Venture capital funding should be deregulated.

Unfortunately that slimy tw@t Redwood seems to be dealing with it.

So basically 'there's nothing to see here, move along now'

Sorry, if this has already been covered in another post.

This is very good news. Unfortunately it won't happen because the Tories will lose the next election.

How fortunate for governments that the people they administer don't think

A house price crash that happens tomorrow would take time to sink in and piss people off. Remember John Major won an election during a big recession.

If Cameron was more credible he could win. But he blew it by trekking round Rwanda whilst his constituency was flooded, and talking climate change when no-one else (even many of the Left) could give a fsck.

Just look on the bright side: there will be lots of work with this ID Card thing....

This has been policy for the Tories since 2001 when they made a commitement before the 2001 election to get rid of IR35 at the earliest opportunity. see http://news.zdnet.co.uk/itmanagement...2086519,00.htm)

Mark Prisk (Tory Small Business Spokesman) has complained about IR35 a number of times.

They said they would review it, and did no promise to get rid of it.
Even if they do abolish it that removes chances of getting stung from prob 1 in 2000 to 0.
    i.e. from 0.0005 to 0.

Now t's effectively dead they promise to get rid, how convienient
The court heard Darren Upton had written a letter to Judge Sally Cahill QC saying he wasn’t “a typical inmate of prison”.

But the judge said: “That simply demonstrates your arrogance continues. You are typical. Inmates of prison are people who are dishonest. You are a thoroughly dishonestly man motivated by your own selfish greed.”

You should stop listening to Gerry!

The actual policy was to abolish it and then review with interested parties a better way of dealing with the problem
