Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

        C.S. Lewis

              Anything new.

Fish and chips with loads and loads of salt and vinegar.

              Ice cold Coke

Most cities seem pretty much of a muchness. Would want to avoid American/Sudanese, etc cities though.

Some of the science/natural history programmes on Radio4 and World Service are pretty good.

Science isn't about why, it's about why not. You ask: why is so much of our science dangerous? I say: why not marry safe science if you love it so much. In fact, why not invent a special safety door that won't hit you in the butt on the way out, because you are fired. - Cave Johnson
