if it was savoury pies, then the king of all "who ate all the pies" pies has to be the scotch pie

        http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scotch_pie
When sold in chip shops, the pie is often deep fried.
I ate a huge amount of these when I was a teenager and some how remained a skinny little runt (untill the beers caught up with me 10 years later)

I live in Hampshire - there's this pub not far from me out in the middle of the countryside. It serves the best home made pies ever and has proper beer. Pies and beer are the best.

Nope, it's only a personal incident if the food gives you the trotts and you want to claim the dry cleaning bill.

My favourite is a cake that is like a pie

It's an apple turnover with cream filling.
Although it is technically described as a cake, because it's a turnover it's also like a pie.
                  It's Deja-vu all over again!

I'll not ask you for a pasty then.
