WRT the picking someone up on the way, then this shouldn't be an issue, you don't need a CRB to go on a bus while there are kids on it.
It would be different if the parents were driving the car.

I've just had to be CRB checked to go on a weekend camping with local cub camp. I hasd no issues, but like someone said earlier it just shows that I haven't been caught.

I wonder if this applies to all parents taking their kids to school then?

My favourite bit in Catch-22 is when they all have to start signing loyalty oaths before they can do anything, and it gets to the point where they have to sign loyalty oaths for each item of food at meal times in the mess so there are enormous queues for everything.

Eventually, Major ____ de Coverley comes back from leave, walks into the mess, stands there for a moment looking round and then goes, "Gimme eat. Give everyone eat." And that's the end of the loyalty oaths.

We need a load of Major ____ de Coverleys in this country. "GIMME EAT" should be as well known as "Big Brother is watching you" or "All animals are equal, but some animals are more equal than others".

If walking or in your own car - no. If taking in a taxi then yes!

Dont blame me - I did not make the rules...
