Default Should I sell, or, should I rent?

Got the AIP, all good to move to the bungalow, and rent out my Semi.

    (Blimey, that sounds camp.....)

Got a house viewer today - they are wanting a second viewing. Nowt to sell, getting a second mortgage for my place.

Not sure if to sell (was £225K 4 months ago, now realistically £205K), or, rent and hope things improve in a couple of years.

Selling means I do a repayment mortgage.

Renting means 2 years of interest only mortgages.

What is the buy to let panels verdict?

Depends what you can get for your house if its close to what you want I would sell. Things seem VERY bad out there, mines been up for 1 week at £399,950 and got the first offer today at ...... £330,000, £70k less estate agent says £330k-£340k is the max to expect, but told us to put on at £399k. Estate Agent said prices are now back down to 2005 prices in my area.

If it's anything like round where I am, you'll put a for sale sign and a to let sign outside and take the first that comes alomg.

Though I guess Wilmslow is an easier area to shift a property.

That was very useful - thanks! I did think of FOAD - but my brain is far too slow today.

This t0sser has outlived his purpose and is now exceedingly annoying.
