A DISGUSTED Newcastle United supporter hurled his team shirt into the River Tyne after revered manager Kevin Keegan was forced to quit.

The fan also chucked his £543 season ticket into the drink to show his anger at Toon owner Mike Ashley.

And he said: “I’m furious — I’m foaming at the mouth. It’s the best protest I can make.”
I can't see that Ashley is going to be particularly bothered by that protest.

Me either. If they completely boycotted half the season he might be though.

Edit: How much is his house worth?

Ok this "protest" just confirms that football fans are complete pillocks.

The protestor has just destroyed goods that he has paid a lot of money for and the football club have no obligation to replace the ticket or shirt ~£600 worth. The club are laughing all the way to the bank.

Newcastle fans have to get the vote for most stupid in the country. Are there any other bunch so misguided as to the relative worth of their club? They seem to think of themselves as one of the "big clubs", despite all the evidence pointing to them being just another mediocre mid level side.

Since the war. Premiership (old first div) wins: zero. Fa cups 3( but all in the 50s), league cup win: zero. Hardly ripping up tress are they? And yet they still bitch and moan as if they have a right to expect top 4 football. Dream on.

It takes more than a bunch of fat fookers with their man tits out on a cold day to make a successful club.

                    You forget ...

                    2006. Intertoto cup.

Newcastle are definitely a big club, and in no way just entertainment for supporters of other clubs
