    Loading on debt is just deferring future taxes, so in effect what Labour does now is raising taxes by stealth as they have been doing for the last 10 years.

      They know full well that the blues will win the next election, so it's good Labour policy to stuff up the opposition for a good 10 years, so those of us with a short memory will be begging for the reds before long. Much like those of us with a short memory are begging for the blues right now!

      There's no miracle cure to all this, except look out for yourself and ignore the trends to buy junk on credit, or buy a house when it's at the top of the market. I don't really have much sympathy for people coming unstuck who ignored what boils down to common sense.
