              No. Allen is King. Hillage is, of course, borderline genius, and I LOVE his work. But having seen Allen in Liverpool about (gulp! sob! where's my life gone!) 15 years ago, I can only say that his glissando technique, live, is just mesmerizing. That local band "Pyramid Dream" were in the crowd, took a shine to me, and gave me some odd-looking "vitamin pills" may, or may not, have coloured my appreciation. Joking aside, Allen is something special when performing live.
