    Default Are you divorced?

Following on from Bagpuss's (jolly interesting) question about divorce rate among contractors - thought I might try a poll to see how cuk divorce rate compares to national average.

Poll coming up - please wait at least a picosecong before whining its not there.....

It's too early and the coffee hasn't kicked in yet.

Nice AndyW option BTW but I have voted properly this time.

4 years slighter grey area - she needs over 7 years to get to the max.

Are there any children? Any pre-nup? What assets did you each bring into the marriage? What assets are there now?

White vs White(2000) has a presumption of 50/50....

depends of how you go about it. if its amicable then you could just split everything 50/50.

i did 3 years and sold the house, split the profits, didn't bother with solicitors, got him to pay for the divorce paperwork though

if it looks like it could get nasty then speak to a solicitor asap
