The petition got handed in today.
In all the time I've known the Gurkhas, I never understood why they had to suffer sub-standard accommodation, had no rights of residence and had a lower pay scale than their fellow "British" soldiers and yet they fought the same battles and as a relatively small regiment were awarded no less than 26 Victoria Crosses, the highest order of gallantry. I would ask that if you believe they should receive the same rights as the men they have fought and died alongside then you add your name to the petition.

They have served all across the world in the defence of our Country for nearly 200 years. Over 45,000 died in the two World Wars as part of the British Army. They are still fighting in the British Army today.
