Pancake mix is dead easy - its the same as yorkshire pud mix and EVERYONE knows how to make them........ don't they?

Don't really have Yorkshire Puddings in Ireland so wouldn't have learnt how to make it

I was thinking the exact same thing.... although, I don't think I own a "sifter" may have to take a detour on the way home.

Good idea. I bought some maple syrup, lemon juice, chocolate spread, ice cream and bananas at the weekend in preparation. You can't have too many fillings in a pancake.

I'm confused! Delia says use water and 2 eggs, but I've always done 4oz flour, 1 egg, 1/2 pint milk. Anyone know the difference?!

Oh, and I bought all the ingredients yesterday

Try squeezing orange juice instead of lemon! HTH

The one in M&S comes in a carton - it already has the liquid in it... you just shake it up

You can buy ready-made, ready-cooked pancakes too.

I was always taught it's best to make the mix the day before, or at least a few hours before, so it can chill properly.

Pancakes (simple, with lemon+sugar) are one of my favourite things, unfortunately the wife often has to do pancakes at school and sometimes is sick of the sight of 'em by tea-time
