    Default Planning

    Local democracy?

A builder wants to build 900 houses on the edge of our town. Residents are not keen, since there are no plans to upgrade any of the infrastructure of the town.

But we are on the county boundary, and the proposed development is just across in the next county, so it is they who decide (and get the council tax) but we who get the impact.

    Hm.

You want cheaper housing you need more houses.
Three-and-a-half years, two extensions, seven defections, 21 deselections, three prime ministers, countless amendments, two prorogations, one Supreme Court judgement, 66 million Brits losing the will to live and were still at square one...

    "planning" exists to:
    1)Provide pointless Local Authority Jobs.
2)Rubber stamp plans of big business regardless of any "plans" made by twonks in 1) above.
    That is all.

Take a look at your parliamentary constituency boundaries; You might find that the boundaries are different or overlap, meaning you could take up the matter with your local MP, who might right now be lounging with 4 expenses paid escorts watching porn on his 9000 pound flat screen TV.
And what exactly is wrong with an "ad hominem" argument? Dodgy Agent, 16-5-2014
