    i never ever owned one but what a guitar, what a guy ... and a good player too! players everywhere will stop for a moment's reflection i think on the man who gave us one of rock's greatest tools.

    A sad loss. He created the guitar that so much of my favourite music was played on and they in turn inspired me to buy one and learn to play. I still hope that one day I can buy an original '59 Les Paul but they're pricey in the extreme.

            Was in the studio the other night with a guitarist who had one, I was playing a model 2 fender rhodes.
