It's one that plays some Pete Andre song when you open the door.

Maybe they all are nowadays, but 20 years ago I got dragged into doing this exercise for a former gf, and they weren't. You could also get matching separates to stack on top of each other or side by side if that suited your kitchen layout better.
Behold the warranty -- the bold print giveth and the fine print taketh away.

Why not just put the fridge one on top of the freezer one then?

            Agree with fridge-on-top/freezer below.

I made the mistake of buying a Daewoo Nofrost. Problem is it had transparent plastic shelves.

            HAD.

Wifey went through three shelves in around six months by overfilling them (sadly just outside warranty period). Replacements are £50.

            Avoid.

              My advice is:

              Liebherr or Mele
              and buy from John Lewis.

              There, easy.

Oh and don't bother with the extended guarantee up to five years.
The standard guarantee will be for three years and both these makes will last way past the extended one without any issues.

i think chef should be interested in a product that stores foodstuffs.

i think chef should inquire what chef's favourite celebrity chef uses as a personal fridge freezer.

i think chef should then get down to his nearest fridgefreezersrus store and have a good old chin rubbing experience.

Try "the corner fridge company" for something a bit different.

They're out of stock at the moment, but I reckon you need an Internet fridge: http://www.firebox.com/product/411/Internet-Fridge

What I learnt in that exercise is that the electrical chains that advertise "if you find the same product elsewhere for a better price we'll refund the difference" have their own models, so you won't find exactly the same model anywhere else.

The best price I found which met the specs was from a small Asian shop were I could negotiate with the owner, and delivery was free.
