    iphone advice

Need some help here, I have ordered the iphone & was getting organised & wanted to get some apps in advance, I spent some time checking the apple site but cannot find any apps.
Is it a case you can only access the app store from your phone is am I having a moment & missing something?

Can any one suggest a good app for birthday reminders ?

    an app for birthday reminders..

how about the built in calendar?

works for me and syncs with iCal (on a Mac)

as for apps, load up itunes and the app store will be there (unless you have disabled in the past from within itunes)

but have a look here as well

You use the iTunes app store: start iTunes, select the iTunes store in the left column, then select the "Apps" tab when the store loads.

Thanks Nick - I think I am getting there, but it seems I have to download itunes (don't really want to) just to get in the store grrr

Well, you need iTunes to sync with the phone anyway

Not sure what the problem is - it's a really good bit of software for managing the phone.
