I posted here yesterday for some ideas to get in touch with a past workmate.
Well I followed it all through and finally got to speak to the guy today, (to offer him a job)

So, I went through a chain of five dudes, and EVERY one of them said the same thing. 'If you are organising a christmas do, count me in'

so we will do it. Knutsford in a week. But its such a heartwarming thing to happen, these guys hardly know the next one in the chain, One of them has moved out of IT altogether.
