ATW, anything to say about the leaked cables identifying your home country as a Kleptocracy?

Much as I love the WC, I'm not sure I particularly want them held here. In fact, I'd like to see them held in Russia - at least then you'd be sure the hooligans would be sorted out by the local police. Spain/Portugal would be good too, as you'd be able to travel around on the new high speed rail network (ok, not in Portugal, but still be good to drink Port at the local bar).

It's England's only hope of winning. Didn't they win it one year in England? Thought I heard that mentioned by every English commentator.

    WHS

I do hope Mr Putin will employ his Spetznaz against marauding footballist chavs. I might buy a ticket to watch that.

Even with home advantage in 66, England still needed a good batch of world-class players to win it. I'm not sure any of the current England team would make it into the Brazil or Spain sides. Perhaps 2 would be on the subs bench.
Anyway France are my tip for 2018.
