Lots of good contracts in a few years time

BAA outhouses 200 IT workers over to Capgemini

"Because our focus is on running airports, it makes sense for specialist IT functions to be outsourced, which is also much more cost effective," said BAA chief information officer Philip Langsdale.

Of course when it goes t*ts-up they will have no choice but to bring in the contractors.

"It said in my MBA textbook that outsourcing stuff is a good way to get a big bonus AND guarantee yourself a place on the board at the outsourcing firm, so I did it" said BAA chief information officer Philip Langsdale.

          That quote in full

"Because our focus is on running airports, it makes sense for specialist IT functions to be outsourced, which is also much more cost effective," said BAA chief information officer Philip Langsdale. "And IT is in no way central to the running of an airport. Now, where's my luggage? What's that big tin thing falling out of the sky?"

BAA is owned by Santander. They made a balls up of Abbey when they took it over. Their IT systems are a shambles, rumour has it.

Cap use Bob's in India too - and don't I bloody know it! Actually to be fair their Bob's are very good, not the indecisive ditherers we have at current PermCo, quite forceful and not at all meek.
