    In Yorkshire chip butties use teacakes. The bigger version of a teacake is a breadcake.

    By the neat trick of not calling them rolls, both are acceptable on a construction site.

      bread roll or bun


      When I first met my husband's parents they kept offering me a bun with my coffee and I thought it was very strange that they would think I wanted a bread bun. Then they'd bring out these little cakes...
