      Why not rig up some sort of ballcock contraption?

      You can get buzzers from Rapid or farnell, rs etc. Probably maplins too if you want it today and have one nearby.

              Anyone else not had a bath in years?

              I like the ballcock idea. You could use the one from the toilet on a bigger lever as long as you also take the water supply from the toilet.
