    Bathtub water level alarm

Meaning to run an average bath, I've yet again let it fill to the brim.

So what I need is: a pair of wires, a battery, and a buzzer. So I can hook a simple contraption over the side with the wires pointing downward and ending at the desired water level, and when the water reaches that level the buzzer sounds. Real cutting-edge physics this. (Even better would be a motor that could then automatically turn off the tap!)

Any ideas where to buy hobbyist type items like this? Obviously I can buy the wire and batteries anywhere, and perhaps the buzzer wouldn't be too hard (I could maybe extract one from a cheap smoke detector for example.) But perusing a good web site might give me other ideas.

Who knows, next year I could be on Dragon's Den, trying to flog a patent bath level detector.

Or a stopwatch with an alarm.

      Limited market appeal.

You are better of flogging it to Lakeland.

I don't know. Maybe he could do something hooked up to the mains.

        Shocking!

Get a megaflo system - that way the bath can fill up supersonically in about 30 seconds.

          Or get a smaller bath.

Use a vertical bath, otherwise known as a shower.
Feist - 1234. One camera, one take, no editing. Superb. How they did it
