    Unfortunately, yes...

    They wouldn't honour "never knowingly undersold" - for some walking boots as the shops selling them were in Belfast and not on the mainland.

    I still enjoy being called 'Sir' in Waitrose though.

    I'd love to support British (English, Scottish, or whatever) industry, even if it cost five times a Chinese import

    (That's assuming the rogues don't simply import Chinese goods and apply a vast markup, as I suspect is the case for the silk hankies I bought in Harrods the other week! What a mug I am - Could have bought just as good ones for half the price online )

    I think everything in the world is made in China. Even the Japanese stuff I buy is made there, Roland, Yamaha, Korg, Sony.
