I thought that the show was great! I watched it twice (although I skipped watching all the Olympians the second time).

It made me all nostalgic for all the things I liked about living in the UK (and that includes the culture and diversity Mr Tory MP), brought a tear to my eye. Nearly had me on the first plane back.

BBC News - Olympics ceremony: 27m UK viewers watched opening

The three-and-a-half hour show was rehearsed more than 200 times, with each of the 7,500 volunteers spending on average 150 hours practising during the build-up.

The event used 12,956 props and boasted a million-watt PA system using more than 500 speakers.

Using cash is immoral - it's the latest sin... expect HMRC to impose a tax on cash soon.
