    UK's most desirable places

Hart in Hampshire has been named the UK's most desirable place to live for quality of life for the second year running.

The study by the Halifax bank took into account factors such as jobs, housing, health, life expectancy, crime, weather, traffic and house prices.

Hart district, centred on the town of Fleet, beat previous four-time winner Elmbridge in Surrey into second place.

Nowhere in the north of England, Scotland or Wales was in the top 50.

I thought the most desirable place in Britain is nestled in between Kelly Brooks breasts?!

It's a place to go and die.

Also if you live there there is little chance of getting a seat on a train to London and also if you turn up late you won't be able to park in the station(s) car park.

Surely the most desirable place in Britain is Andalucía, Spain.

Oh, no no no, it's very damp there and smells of Brie.

Why did they take into account ethnic mix or lack there of?

The most desirable place in Britain is anywhere my Mother-in-Law isn't.

I grew up in Hart. I cannot understand how it could be the most desirable place to live. Perhaps for a retired/retiring couple it might be desirable, but for children and young professionals there is literally nothing to do. No shops, no cinema, no nightlife, nothing but a few nice walks.

Eh? I live in Hart, and two miles from a 10-screen multiplex. And yep, there are nice walks

It's not the most exciting of areas. There are no local brothels, getting hold of drugs is nigh on impossible and there's a never a fella in my local pub selling knocked off gear.

                    It's rubbish.
