      So we can see:

Brexit is having a wee in the middle of the room at a house party because nobody is talking to you, and then complaining about the smell.

Where will the money come from to fund the additional specialist and after hours clubs required to deliver this.

Will any of you volunteer to do this because it will require a lot of volunteers.
After school clubs are nothing new, they go on all the time. What specialists do you foresee being required?

Programmers with teaching skills - most can't even talk to fellow human beings.!

After school clubs are not new, but there will not be enough teaching time in a standard school day, so some of this stuff will have to be done after hours. Teachers will be preparing for the following day so will not be able to do it.

            Any volunteers?

10 year olds mastering the subjunctive? Hands up who knows what it is? Actually I know the French subjunctive, and sort of the German subjunctive, or Konjunctiv, although that's a bit confusing and I was never sure if it was the same as the conditional or not, but I'm pretty sure I never learned any such thing in English at school.

Any why is the only thing under design and technology, food and nutrition? Knowing how to cook is hardly design or technology.
Will work inside IR35. Or for food.

The proposals are stupid as what you and I would call something like fractions is different from how a five year old learns about them.

Also the reason kids don't learn their 12 times tables is this thing called decimalisation.

Like I said, after school clubs ALREADY go on. Many schools consider it an expectation that a teacher will do one a week for example.

You don't need to be a programmer to teach basics of programming any more than you need to be a physicist to teach physics. That said, until they start teaching programming in teacher training I agree it's a bit of a problem. Maybe rely on one teacher per school having a bit of interest, or something.

It's a good question though, how to bring in a new subject. Unless they start it at a certain age and it moves up with that year group... then they can make sure there are new teachers trained in time.

Without our old measures I can't think of a better reason to learn up to the 12 times table. It used to help our arithmetic, kids learn how to do it with non-decimal constructs, and three-figure numbers.

It's harder, therefore exercises the brain more.

In fact, these days I'd extend it to 16.
