    Wanted: tool to convert old style TIFF to

    Anyone know a tool that can convert the old style TIFF with jpeg compression to something else?

    Or will I have to write one?

    Actually I’ve already written one, but if you’re too stupid to find it with Google……..

      You'll have to write one, but to make it a challenge for you threaded, you can only use the letter k,m,l,s and e and the binary values 1001010111010101 and 0010011101000101.

      Okay?

        Bloody hell threaded, are you a man or a mouse?

        Write your own - it'll only take 5 mins.

        I just wrote a tool to convert avi to mpg on my PDA whilst having a sh*te in trap 3 just now !!

        Tut, tut...

          Not sure I understand the question. Old style TIFF? Doesn't any old paint prog open that? Paint Shop Pro has got a batch file convertor too.

            Spot on xoggoth.

            TIF has never had jpeg style compression either - it (optionally) uses a number of lossless compression methods the most commonly used being LZW.

              Clearly you didn’t understand the question. It wasn’t a request for help, it was intended to make Threaded look clever. That’s all.He will be back soon to prove it.

                  How about...

                  using System;
                  class Hello {
                  static void Main() {
                  Console.WriteLine ("Hello World");
                  }
                  }

                    Hey i'd recognise that VB anywhere. Doesn't it compress TIFFs into GIFs?
