What's your problem with the poll tax? It sounds to me a lot fairer than current concil tax.

I paid a hefty premium for a house because it had a low rateable value.

Well, if you disappear and don't claim any benefits or services offered to honest taxpayers, then **** it - this is a break even point for the state.
