    Default Double or quits?

If I offered you the chance to play a coin flip game with a 50/50 chance of doubling or halving your money, would you take it?

    Answer?

    Yes

“Live a good life. If there are gods and they are just, then they will not care how devout you have been, but will welcome you based on the virtues you have lived by. If there are gods, but unjust, then you should not want to worship them. If there are no gods, then you will be gone, but will have lived a noble life that will live on in the memories of your loved ones.”

I'm basically trying to show how rebalancing a portfolio can turn a losing proposition into a winning one.

Parrondo's paradox: Parrondo's Paradox, stock market, "Volatility Pumping".

In other words, managing your portfolio of investments is far more important than how the constituents perform.

But I'm sure you all already know the mathematics behind this anyway.

    It's not mathematics.

It's a load of bollox for gamblers who are too unlucky to win and too stupid to stop, so they keep looking for some sure win strategies.

Might as well go to casino and put X on red or black, in case of loss just TRIPPLE your stake and soon you'll make guaranteed profit.

I can see why you are still working in a server room and living in a rented bedsit.

How fortunate for governments that the people they administer don't think
