So is that you done now? Just graduation to go? OU don't have a mortar board which I was disappointed to find out at graduation. Great effort an OU degree.

    Ta both.

Missed distinction on last year's module by a couple of percent and was a bit disappointed. This year seemed harder and was a real slog, but got the result I wanted - so think I should be good for a first, but will wait for the official letter before I count my chickens.

Had to book the graduation ceremony before I got the result which seemed a bit wrong, but it's all turned out good.

Perhaps I should have done my degree in something useful

Edit: Found my degree offer (they'd hidden it well) It is a first - happy

BA (Hons) Humanities with Art History

Very different from the day job, but filled a lot of gaps in my education.

Is there any practical value for that degree ? Sounds more like a New Labour created degree, if you know what I mean. Why did you choose that ?

    Congratulations.

I must admit I toyed with the idea of an OU degree for a while, but I ended up deciding that it wouldn't really do anything for me. There's plenty of specific skills which would interest me and make me more marketable, a degree isn't one of them. I've then proceeded to learn nothing

I feel these days you can learn about pretty much anything that interests you from the internet without formally studying it. I suppose already having one degree takes the edge off it, but I would expect any IT professional to be able to get a degree these days.

I suppose the acid test is what have I mastered without following a structured education path and the answer is probably very little, so I'm not knocking you, just curious as to what your motivation was.
