If not in IT, then what would you do?

If you weren't working in IT, or management, what would you be doing?

Do you work just for the money, or does the work give you satisfaction?

What are your retirement plans? What would you do, Plan B, after freelancing?

Bottom line is king. I used to look for interesting work. I got screwed on the $ because the boss would trade off money against my interest levels. Once they know what your carrot is, they control your rewards.

Now I focus on money , and I've had the most interesting work I've ever done, because I have to target specialised areas to stay alive as a top dollar contractor.

Best skill I ever observed in a contractor was the ability to turn an apparently boring task into an interesting one.

Always go for the MONEY , incase the contract turns out boring - you have something to keep you happy thats my concept!

The best job I ever had, as far as happiness is concerned, was working as a barman in a hotel in Liverpool.
Meeting real people and providing a real service. The tips were good too.

One night I was overhearing a couple talking about leaving the lights on in the room. He was happy in the dark, she was scared of the dark and was asking me to back her up.
Sheila was 35 , blonde, buxom and great fun.
She was in the UK for 4 weeks with her fiance, and she was obviously getting fed up with him. I offered to take her out to Formby woods in the dark , to prove to her that there is, in fact, nothing to be afraid of.
We spent the night on a blanket under the stars, talking, laughing and listening. It was magical. Then the our skin touched and the inevitable happened. For the next three weeks we met and forged a love that you only read about in legends. What a fantastic epic and testimony to the power of human love.

then I fell out of bed. it had all been a dream

I would sort things into little boxes so they were very neatly arranged.
While you're waiting, read the free novel we sent you. It's a Spanish story about a guy named 'Manual.'

I would be a recruitment agent.

It would be fun making up lies on the phone.
