The thing is, some deaths would be acceptable. Just as the NHS has to balance cost against care, which means they cannot always give everyone the best possible care money can buy. This DOES mean some people die who could be saved.

Equally, drink driving DOES lead directly to deaths but that doesn't mean banning alcohol entirely is reasonable.

IF transitioning to green has substantial benefits, the bottom line is that some deaths would be acceptable.

          Ah yes. IF.

For the last two decades carbon dioxide in the atmosphere has rocketed past 400ppm. In the same period, temperatures have soared by, er, zero. The IPCC are convinced that a major portion of this zero increase are caused by the carbon.

So in order to reduce this proportion of zero to an even smaller number, how many excess deaths are the greenies willing to accept ?

Who says warming is the only problem with burning coal?

Problem? I rather thought that was the point? Otherwise you're doing it wrong.

Just so you know, the companies providing 'renewable' energy are currently get 6X the going rate for producing it, paid for by the tax payer. And they are now Feathering the nest so that there is nothing we can do about it. Odd that the report explaining all of this got drowned out by the Syria thingy.

I don't accept that. That anomaly can be explained by the amount of CO2 the oceans are currently absorbing, which continues to increase year on year. Coral reefs die, life in the oceans struggles to compete with out pollution and all are beyond our normal sights, so perhaps we should assume everything is okay?

Our environment is a closed system, it's simply unacceptable that we continue plundering fossil resources and dumping our waste with without consideration.

True. Far more radiation is released into the environment from coal mining and burning that from nuclear sources.

What point are you tring to make ?
I have told you that C02 has raced past 400ppm, and you are telling me that this is because the C02 has been absorbed by the ocean ??
