Default Modern man vs Real man

I was walking out of work the other day when I spotted one of my stakeholders wearing matching canvas shoes and t-shirt, both precisely the same shade of blackcurrant.

Naturally I remarked on this as either amazing coincidence or the chap indeed had way too much time on his hands to worry about colour coordination as he was a "bloke".

Chatting this over with SY02 the other night and she was on the side of my fancy pants. Apparently modern man does such things as colour coordinate.

Yes I said, but I bet he couldn't put up a shelf!

Thankfully there's folks like MTT in the world who don't colour coordinate, proper mans men.

What say the panel? Are you a bunch of moisturising, colour matching, pattern adorning "modern men" or pint swilling, dart throwing "mans men"?

Of course real men coordinate. You can't turn up to work with shoes that don't match.

And more seriously, choosing a tie and cufflinks that complements your suit/shirt are hardly the sign of a nancy boy.

Men need to get back to being men, in my opinion. Slap a bit of cream on your face if you think you need it, but don't start taking longer in the bathroom than me. That's not on.
Practically perfect in every way....there's a time and (more importantly) a place for malarkey.

If there are gods, but unjust, then you should not want to worship them. If there are no gods, then you will be gone, but will have lived a noble life that will live on in the memories of your loved ones.”

Real mean are like Windows NT, we only see in 16 colours and Blackcurrant ain't one of them!

I use a combined facial scrub and shave gel, thats about it, my belt doesn't match my shoes and I have no idea what the difference between water and moisturiser is!

“We've always defined ourselves by the ability to overcome the impossible. And we count these moments. These moments when we dare to aim higher, to break barriers, to reach for the stars, to make the unknown known. We count these moments as our proudest achievements. But we lost all that. Or perhaps we've just forgotten that we are still pioneers. And we've barely begun. And that our greatest accomplishments cannot be behind us, because our destiny lies above us.”
