Nothing planned but a friend is coming over, probably to tell my wife all about her new boyfriend.

Tomorrow:
Taking the kids to their friend's birthday party and then driving a friend up North and back because I am nice like that. If I get the chance I might nip to cambridge and get my new poleaxes!!!

Sunday:
Not sure. Probably take the kids out somewhere.

Looking forward to arriving home at a decent time tonight, for the first time in 6 months. I might even try to slope off a little early. Then trying to keep the dog distracted so he doesn't go mad at the inevitable fireworks from neighbours gardens.

Saturday - off shopping. Treating myself to a new suit. As I actually like wearing a suit I don't mind it too much. The question is whether to go for an el cheapo Matalan special (which can actually look suprisingly good) or to push the boat out a little. Unfortunately, a few quick looks online reveals a number of shops not wanting my custom, as they only have "slim fit" 3-piecers.

Sunday - bumming about, playing a few games, seeing whether I can be bothered getting dressed for the day or not.

I'm a normal enough size, and actually managed to lose some weight this year - the issue is with the idea that some stores seem to have, that suits should be suitable for stick-thin, anaemic *******, who want "fashion" suits, rather than business suits.
There was some "documentary" a while back about some journalist who had never worn a suit and was going to try a few out. He loved the idea of trousers with about 3 inch diameter legs and a jacket that would fit a lamp post well. I, however, do not.
