Its strange how positive discrimination is completely absent in areas like Nursing, primary school teachers, childcare, home care.

The point about teachers is many of the male teachers had a long career in a traditionally male career (secondary school teachers were predominantly male in the 20s-70s.) They are now retiring and females are taking over, if they are the best man for the job then fine. But if it should be a Mann then its a negative step.

As dodgy pointed out to get to the top tends to need total dedication. If you want to be a mum then that isn't possible for 5 years or more while the kids are young.

Don't suggest to one of my girls that you have to be a boy to be a firefighter (yes they de gendered it despite a complete lack of need.) she is determined to join and I'm pretty sure she will succeed.

Oh, do sod off. It's exactly that - labelling women as 'feminists' or 'victims' or other hysterical labels that prevents sensible discussion.

We won't mention feminazis then :nazi:
Socialism is inseparably interwoven with totalitarianism and the abject worship of the state.

No Socialist Government conducting the entire life and industry of the country could afford to allow free, sharp, or violently-worded expressions of public discontent.

I can't do that; my fingers are all so fooked I have to get Lady Tester to remove lids from jars. She's a strong woman until she sees a spider.
And what exactly is wrong with an "ad hominem" argument? Dodgy Agent, 16-5-2014
