    My very first ever contract (and IT job) back in the day, we were sat around 5 weeks waiting for servers to arrive. Did a permie stint a few years later, logged onto the servers at 9am, checked if all was green, sent out the usual email to that effect, day was over at 5 mins past 9.


    I didn't complain, huge company with pots of cash, redundancy was taboo, so nice little hidie-hole until the sun shone again.
