Bedouin/Redstone/Edge - whoever they are called now

Does any one have the names and addresses of the people who ran the EBTs.

They all seem to be living nicely off the fees we paid, probably in a nice big mansion on the Isle of Man.

Changing the name of the company is a deliberate attempt to distance themselves from the mess they have landed us in.
They should be handing back our 10%/12.5% fees and we'll promise to pay them back if we ever win our day in court.

They can't afford to pay?? Get a loan, sell you house

Why are we the only ones to suffer?

      snookered

After a call on the weekend with the tax chap appointed by Bedouin it seems any of us who used Bedouin are stuffed as they themselves are not going to be fighting this as they have no case to answer, only the users.

just had to bite the bullet today and agree to pay my penalty for 2011

        Redstone reincarnated ?

Today I was contacted by Steven Waters from "thecontractorcompany.co.uk" sniffing about for work. Same Steven Waters who was the Business Development Manager for Redstone which disgracefully abandoned us anybody know?? Email below:

        Good Afternoon,

You may or may not be aware that there are big changes ahead for the contractor market yet again. It’s time to act and time is very much of the essence. If you are operating through your own Limited Company you should consider a switch to our enhanced Limited Company Structure which can increase your take home pay by around 15% after all fees and Taxes have been deducted. If you are operating through a scheme where you are declaring the minimum wage as your salary and the remainder is paid out in a loan format (or similar) then you should also consider a switch. Remember that if HMRC ask you 1 simple question, the entire scheme falls down and the loans then become "dependable income” which is turn is then “taxable income”. Please continue to work through this email and the attached documents to see a option available to you.

You would think that HMRC is in cahoots with these people to allow these schemes to keep operating.

Do HMRC enjoy the fact that they will eventually challenge all the people who use these schemes and carpet bomb them with APNs in a few years?

HMRC allowed this fiasco to start in the first place and it appears they will allow it to continue, why?

Maybe because it provides HMRC a seemingly endless supply of people from whom to subsequently "extract" by way of APNs funds that they know they are not entitled to.
