Schedule 36 notice from HMRC

A schedule 36 notice has teeth in the form of penalties for non compliance.

Go and get advice.

Thanks Webberg, its a bit difficult as I am no longer in HMRC jurisdiction so not sure if the tax advisors here in Guernsey will be familiar with the HMRC situations, do you think they will? I intend to comply with what they have asked for in the notice ie payslips and bank statements for the period their written request refers to, but that will show nothing untoward as I was entirely PAYE during that period.

YOu do not have to have an adviser int he same place as you. I would suggest a UK adviser.
