Consultation: HMRC Charter - GOV.UK
The above is a link to a consultation on HMRC's revised "Charter".
They are looking for feedback.
Experience tells me that all negative feedback will be ignored and all positive feedback praised to the heavens.
The comments in the middle, pointing out matters such as:
"It's good to have a Charter but the problem is HMRC living with it and applying it"
"It's good to be believed by HMRC but if HMRC say you are being untruthful, they need to say why, not just hold that view".
HMRC needs to be transparent and explain why certain policies are in place.
HMRC needs to fix the link between them and Debt Management.
etc
We should all be doing this.
Keep it polite please.
