    Confirmation of settlement

Does anyone know if there's a way of confirming online that HMRC have received and processed your settlement payment? I received an HMRC payment confirmation via email after I paid online, however, I don't want them claiming in the future that I haven't paid.

Phone them up and ask them, then ask for confirmation by letter.

Any idea where I'm likely to find this? e.g. If I'm logged into the government gateway, which section do I select? Self-Assessment for example?

Presumably your settlement covered years which show outstanding balances prior to settlement.

Presumably therefore look to see if any years have outstanding amounts?

                It's not an instant process.

I suggest you give them ten working days or so and check again.
