I was with Edge too in 2008/09. Received similar letter yesterday. Will contact Michelle tomorrow.

Does anyone have an opinion on, Michael FCA template Vs. Edge Template?

To me Michael letters looks like, it might be sufficient.

Reading post #6 it sounds like the open investigation going back to 04/05 are because they were opened within the given time limits as they stood at that time. Or were they opened beyond normal limits based on Careless or Deliberate behaviour.

According to the HMRC themselves these are the limits:

Normal time limit - four years
Careless behaviour - six years
Deliberate behaviour - 20 years

So the spate of 08/09 letters preserve the 'Normal time limit' before it runs out in April this year and I guess they'll pushing to call them all in especially if EBT judgements should start going in their favour in the future.

I was with Edge too in 2008/09 and have received a similar letter at the weekend. I shall be competing one of the templates and sending it recorded delivery today/tomorrow.

I am also keen to understand whether a collective approach, outside of dealing with Edge (belt and braces), would be beneficial and to this end was wondering whether anyone had approached any third-party tax advisers?

Lastly, what is the process to have my account email enabled, it would be useful going forward?
