There are a large number of ex CP members being represented by MJK too.

Will be very interesting to see how the two different groups end up settling!

Admin, could you please provide me with the PM rights - thanks.

Thanks Cojak, I looked at the Big Group website and I see Berwick listed as a scheme but not Choice Premier. I assume Berwick includes Choice Premier clients too. My only concern is whether I might be throwing good money after bad...
You now have access to the PM system!

And that's exactly where the problem lies. We are all in disparate groups, fighting "individual" battles against HMRC who keep changing the rules as they go along.

They don't care about individual groups (or individuals, after all, bankruptcy won't affect your family life now will it?) they'll just keep coming up with pony like the 2019 charge.

If we want to make a difference we need to get together.

The more posts I read on this subject the more I'm beginning to feel suckered. Surely the organisers of these schemes that we all entered into need to be taking accountability and they need to be fighting our corners rather than leaving us to flounder.

Apologies for the lack of confidence but that's how I'm feeling right now - cheer me up please someone (without telling me it'll soon be Christmas).

BTW, I did contact Big Group - just waiting for a call back.

Foreign Exchange Arrangements - Choice Priemer HMRC Case

I saw this thread and want a genuine Advice on the above case. Couple of days back I received a letter from HMRC asking to contact them directly in order to "get the tax affair in order"

So far MY case is dealt by MJK&Co and I have paid them a fair amount of represent the case. I am in two minds now as to contact HMRC directly or let MJK to pursue the case. I understand there are other members as well whose case is being dealt by MJK. Please advice what rest of the group s doing.
              Regards

I'm not here to comment on MJK &Co. I'm sure he's more than capable of speaking for himself.

There is a point here about various groups joining together.

We (Big Group) have reached out to the major size groups in this sector. The results are:

All of them are politely but definitely not interested.

That is for various reasons and we respect those.

What is perhaps more interesting is that HMRC estimate around 40,000 people in this area who need to settle. (We think perhaps twice that number).

Our group and a generous estimate of the others might bring us to 10,000.

                Where are the others?

                  A very interesting question webberg.

The other question is what happens to newbies asking about BG after 7/1/17?

Does any one know how many people are there with MKJ. I need to get back to HMRC before 16/01/17 but looks like that the Big group is closed fro any new memberships. Can some one advice on the status of Big group and how to join.

                    Regards
