IR35 inspections take years to sort out even if you have insurance.
If you have insurance HMRC opens the case, digs around for 2-3 years and finding you have insurance quietly drop it.
In the meantime you are so stressed by the demands turning up on your doorstep every Saturday morning particularly on bank holiday weekends you lose sleep, your hair goes grey, you develop anxiety problems etc."You’re just a bad memory who doesn’t know when to go away" JRComment

Time will tell - there will shortly be several hundred counter avoidance team members with a much reduced ongoing pipeline more than likely they could be reassigned to work on retrospective IR35 investigations - 250 a year could blossom to 5 or 6 times that. It being retrospective they will be able to get round to everyone they feel they should in due courseComment

Now that the bulk of APNs has been sent out and that representation windows have closed, watch as the "AP team" bods that have been hired in 2014/2015 got massively reassigned to this new retrospective exercice.Comment
