    HMRC contractors leaving HMRC

Probably the same guys who eek was talking to...

IT contractors behind IR35 calculator to leave HMRC... because of IR35 • The Register

Do they know something (that they passed onto eek)?

I don't think EE have quite that many. Maybe 150.

          Valtech?
I was going through my old notes from when I was looking for my first contracting job last June and spoke to Valtech about a possible role at HMRC! Passed all the technical tests they just never arranged a face to face interview and I ended up in the public sector elsewhere!

Was chatting to a guy I worked with a year or so back and he's at HMRC and he said over 78% of contractors have left.

The rest of have decided to work inside.

He had a negative bluety on a quackhandle and was quadraspazzed on a lifeglug.

I look forward to your all knowing and likely sarcastic and unhelpful reply.

They didn't lose anything close to that number. It was about 30% in Newcastle and a bit higher in London.

In the past few days I've seen a lot of permie jobs come up on Indeed for HMRC in my field of architecture.

I reckon the main motivation is fear of back taxes. It wouldn't surprise me if a lot return as employees of big outsourcing companies.
                  I'm alright Jack

And you can confirm that? The guy is working at HMRC, so I think he'd have a pretty good idea on numbers.
