    Contracting to Perm

Umbrella - too much of a pay cut and not worth it. If convert to perm now would this be a bad idea? Would taking another 3 contract in another company be any benefit?

Only you can answer that but I've been going through the same thoughts. If the salary is good enough then it is worth considering but remember that even with IR35 it is likely that you'll be on a higher take home anyway.

You'll lose the flexibility of taking breaks in work, have to go through HR bulltulip, etc. This might be tempered with wfh or closer to home if you are staying away at present.

As far as an additional 3 months, it may increase your company funds to a point that an MVL would be worth looking at.

You may want to weigh up the risk of the sector falling on it's backside, or external factors causing a recession. You may also consider that jumping permie now might "beat the rush" later on.

On the other hand, you might see the whole IR35 change as a positive opportunity, ensuring that outside gigs carry no risk to you as a contractor. You might think that rates will improve as the best contractors will want to be recompensed even if working inside IR35.

Speak to somebody who knows something about this and balance the elements.

As the poster above says, only you can decide.
