What exactly are the contractors waiting for? What favourable terms is the contractor expecting to receive?
Best case (if you have not already been offered a good salary package) you hope the bank will be re-writing your contract so that it looks an awful lot different to your existing one, and hopefully a new role shuffle, you sign the inside IR35 deal on the same or even the chopped reduced rate.
Then you network as fast as you can to get a permie job at the bank, knowing that brown nosing in a perm is the fastest way to push up that salary.
If you hate the idea of perm then take the inside IR35 offer and after a quick brew on the Monday morning, hit all the sites you can to find the best inside IR35 role elsewhere, keep shifting around when new, better paid IR35 roles crop up.
In either case, if you get the impression that the contract re-write, role shift is not on the cards, then leave. I'd probably get a feel for the contractors who will absolutely leave if inside IR35 and blag their role the day after they leave, role change guarantee.Comment
