Thanks, why no brainer? IPSE is £300 a year, QDOS is £100?
Also what is PEI?
Ipse gives a number of other benefits such as jury cover, crit illness and business interruption to name a few. Can make the money back on the perkbox if you work it hard so can't use a side by side cost comparison like thst.

each individual would have to determine which if any of the peripheral benefits might be advantageous to them before they could make a decision. Such decisions are clearly not clear cut as some ex IPSE members on here would testify to. Additionally, if you join an organisation, you would have to be comfortable with that organisation's goals and policy, which again, some ex IPSE members on here wouldn't agree with.

Yeah, let's think about that. £300-ish for around £1200 of various insurance products plus discounts on other stuff vs £100-ish for IR35 investigation insurance and reviews that are about to stop being your concern...
All insurance is expensive - until you need it. If you're happy that you don't need IPSE's agency default insurance and jury service cover, for example, both of which have been used by their members, then QDOS is certainly cheaper.
Ignore the rubbish about "goals and policy", it's about protecting your business.
my point was that you're providing a load of irrelevant waffle (again).
IPSE and QDOS are both forms of insurance. The fact that IPSE provides more is a bonus not a problem and refusing to use IPSE for insurance because you don't like their goals/views/cut-of-their-jib is not good business, nor does it answer the question.
