Not really looked outside yet so cannot confirm the weather in Cheshire right now.

    Was cold yesterday

Have been out to get fry up ingredients

It's quite mild considering its not supposed to be.

And now, since I'm ready to go out, it's pissing down again with extreme prejudice.

          Afternoon denizens

Grey out, but not quite as cold as it has been - about 6°C, I am informed

Caught it off the Tube, probably. It's a diseased kind of place, That London

And thusly did we venture forth, unsuccessful in the search for Old Peculier.

              Which is odd.

However the search for smarties and rollos in large tubes was rather more successful all in all.

Currently watching "Raid on Entebbe" with Charlie Bronson et al.

Raid on Entebbe (TV Movie 1976) - IMDb

Good example of How To Deal with Mother****ers.

Now on to a Randolph "Stoneface" Scott movie "The Nevadan".

Rather fewer mother****ers in this one.

The Man from Nevada (1950) - IMDb

                Fewer automatic weapons too.

And a complete lack of Hercules aircraft & jeeps.

                No towels either.

Ole Stoneface is doing his thing.

                Costar is Forest Tucker.

                A rather young Forest Tucker.

I watched the last film he made the other day IIRC.

                Yup.

                Thunder Run (1986) - IMDb

That's some pretty rough country, pardner.

                Ah.

                Mules.

My mule don't like you laughing
That was a mere 14 years later, in a different country.

                I rather enjoyed that.

Though some of it was calculating the weight of $250k in 1880.

                1 troy ounce of gold = $20.67.

                250,000/20.67 = 12,095 ounces.

                1 troy ounce = 33.1 grams.

                12,095 * 33.1 = 400,338 gms = 400.3kg = 880lbs (avoirdupois).

1 mule can carry 400lb (though considering the country that looks optimistic) so two mules should just about carry 400kg.

                Glad we sorted that out.

Oh, and the naughty mofos got wasted, so all ended happily.

I was wondering earlier in the day about what I normally "watched" on a Sunday evening, other than the Oak Island nutjobs.

I had to look in the TV Times to see that it was "Doctor Who", which finished last week.

                For which relief, much thanks.

I was equally grateful when "Bones" finally crawled to a conclusion.

I suspect the only episode I actually enjoyed out of the last 60 or 80, was the 200th special.
