The half of the speaker system that works still works.

    Remarkable.

And I've managed to persuade myself that I can keep the little black box woofer thing since it doesn't take up much space.

The rest of today's ferreting about will go to meet the skip tomorrow.

I can't imagine what the chaps down the dump make of it all.

Glad to see the embedded job in Cornwall has disappeared off total crap jobs.

This evening's entertainment began with the last half hour of something off the Smithsonian from yesterday afternoon, followed by The John Peel and Mr Trebus Tribute Programme on 5.

tonight's culinary delight has been cumberland sausages, eggs and chips.
just to keep me grounded, like.
      with HP sauce, too.

      very nice it was too.

Spag bol, the spag being wholemeal, for tea. Very tasty, and coming with a healthy dose of gustatory rhinitis due to the zinginess of some of the spices used

The recycling bin has been trundled forth. In fact, I took my stuff down and trundled it before dinner, as I've forgotten twice in the last three weeks so I figured I'd do it while I remembered and there was still a bit of daylight

And the spiders, which had been facing off but unmoving for a couple of hours, are on the move again, or at least one is: it's approaching closer to the other one, but cautiously. It's still unclear what they're actually up to

Advice on the sight (speaking as a photographer) a brighter sight is better than massive magnification, so a 3x50 will be easier to use than a 4x40 (or a 6x anything < 100)

My sight stays on 3x for dispatching, it only goes higher if I’m testing the alignment.

In fact I'm listenig to "Pulse" on it now.

Sadly the battery for the flashing led died about 20 years ago.

                    Nothing lasts.

Found an inneresting job in Leominster but it's a bit far away really.

Not to mention bankrupting me without expenses.

Tea/dinner this evening, as I forgot to mention, was chili con carne which was nice enough.

I'm still irritated that another expensive Floyd CD has CD rot.

That's the final episode of S3 of Spiral/Engrenages watched. As predicted, everything went badly for almost everyone; even the ones who came out of it alive were probably irreparably damaged by their experiences. Good stuff, but I think I'll give myself a bit of a break before venturing on to S4
