Back from the pub after a pleasant evening

My photographer friend was recently out testing a new camera Hasselblad had loaned him for review purposes, taking snaps of a new building going up in the city centre. He ran into the photographer who’d been employed by the developers to take photographs of the same building; a kind of face-off with tripods, which he won with his £20,000 worth of Hasselblad

And then won again when it turned out the other chap not only knew his website, but also learned everything he knew about tilt-shift lenses from it, and gratefully accepted his advice about how to use one a bit better on this particular job

Morning all if all there be

      Dry.

      Sunny.

      CBS.

      Colder.

17.9 deg in here this morning.

2nd morning of condensation on the bottom of the bedroom window.

2nd night in succession when it was difficult to get to sleep.

      Didn't wake up until 08:15.

      <hiatus>

I suppose I'd better get on with preparing the dinner.

Now been cooking Sunday lunches for more than half a century.

Time goes quickly when you're enjoying yourself.

That Domino Harvey was a really sad case.

At 23:00 the thing will tell us all about the Harrier jump jet.

You know, the one that Call Me Dave Fecking Stupid and Osbourne managed to scrap & sell the remains to the Septics.

Gary Powers is about to get himself shot down by the Reds.
I too, watched both of those episodes.

        enlightening, i thought.

        Morning all.

I watched the U2 one, "Domino" continued thereafter.

It must be inspiring to fly a plane with 5kts between stalling at 70,000 feet and the tail falling off due to excess speed.

Must be really fun to fly something you have to stall at 2 feet altitude to get the fecker back on the ground.

Some nice shots of the SR71 in there too.

Lunch today was chicken legs with cumberland sausages.

Amazingly enough, It Was Very Nice.

After several weeks of accumulating meh, muchos gracias for that that.

Followed by 1.05 pints of Good Glengettie Tea.

                  Afternoon denizens

                  Looking rather Simpsonesque out

Still around 20°C within, though it dipped below that for a while last night. The stuff in front of the fire has been moved in preparation for the coming of winter
